Teacher
My journey into the world of dance began at the tender age of four. My introduction to Bharatanatyam was not just a new activity but the beginning of a lifelong passion. Under the nurturing guidance of eminent Gurus like Guru Sunitha, Guru Marie Stella from the prestigious Kalaikaveri School of Fine Arts, and Guru Madhavi Chandrasekar, I found my calling. These early years were instrumental in shaping my approach to dance, instilling a deep respect for this classical art form.

VENTURING BEYOND.

Growing up, dance was more than just movement; it was a language through which I expressed myself. Embracing the grace and beauty of Mohiniyattam under Kalamandalam Guru Kumari Menon’s guidance expanded my artistic horizons. Each new dance form deepened my artistic prowess, with the legendary Bharatanatyam choreographer Professor C.V. Chandrasekar playing a significant role in elevating my artistry. Learning from Acharya Thiru Renjith Babu, Smt. Vijna Vasudevan and Dr. Neena Prasad adds new dimensions to my performances, enriching my skills and understanding. My educational journey in dance culminated in a Master’s degree in Bharatanatyam and diplomas in Mohiniyattam and Yoga. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to receive recognition for my dedication and talent.

Titles such as “KALA VICHARANA” by National Ethnic Arts Inc and Margazhi in San Francisco for performing and being part of the 4th Annual Margazhi in San Francisco Music and Dance Festival. “Natya Shree Mala,” “NaadanaKalabhooshan,” and “Nrithya Vilasini” stand as testaments to my commitment. The “Bharat Gaurav Samman 2019” from Sanskriti Bharath, New Delhi, acknowledges my contributions to the field of dance and remains a cherished honor.

Beyond performing, my passion for dance extends into scholarship. My publication, “Mapping of Spaces Through Bharatanatyam Sequences” (2019), has been acclaimed by renowned dancer Smt. Meera Sreenarayan and reviewed positively by Blue Ink Review and Makkal Kural, Chennai. This work reflects my commitment to exploring and documenting the rich tapestry of Bharatanatyam, providing a scholarly perspective on this ancient art form.
I am the founder and director of Adhyaathma LLC. At Adhyaathma, my passion finds its true purpose. Here, I channel my unbounded enthusiasm into nurturing young dancers, guiding them as they embark on their own artistic journeys. Witnessing their growth and development is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. Teaching allows me to give back to the dance community and ensures that the rich traditions of Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam continue to thrive.

Currently she is pursuing her PHD in Dance and yoga.
